AUSTRALIAN SINGLE RELEASE ON MAY 2ND!!!

Doublemind Records announced that a fifth single will be digitally released on May 2nd, in order to satisfy the ask for an australian release that came during the last weeks from the band's fans living there. The song chosen for the purpose is Call To Revolution.

The label cleared as well that the japanese single is titled Before The Afternoon.

The five singles will be released on May 2nd. The whole album's gonna be released worldwide one month later, on June 2nd.

Doublemind Records is The Afterglow new, own record label. The band announce they gave birth to the label by the merge between their staff and SeeSaw Music management agency.

The band's new album will be released on the new label, ending a four-year association with Silent Revolution Records.

Management said that founder members Dave Timson and Mik Lennard would have a majority say in the running of the new label, which would also sign new acts.

The Afterglow's decision to release records worldwide under their own imprint echoes the creation of many other labels founded and run by bands, starting from The Beatles with Apple to, more recently, Oasis with their Big Brother Recordings.

A spokesman for the band confirmed that the band's second album would be released on the new label in the first half of 2009, and that the label would be mainly staffed by the band's and SeeSaw Music's former collaborators.

We were much concerned about these recording sessions. Producing a second album, when the one before gave you big satisfactions, is always tough. When you've been close to the end of everything because you felt you weren't strong enough to carry on with all things that were happening, well, it's almost impossible. But we've never felt strong as we feel now. And so we decided to take our own responsibilities, our own duties, and to keep the engine going. In this kind of situation we might have chosen to fly low. To slide away, in search of rest. There's plenty of small things you can do to feel fine without taking any risk.

BUT LITTLE THINGS AMUSE LITTLE MINDS.

That's not what we're here for.

What came out from the sessions, what will come out in the next album, it's gonna be good, or bad, or shit, or great, it will all depend on what people, and you all, will feel.

But you can be sure of it as we're sure of it.

It's purely us.

THE BAND ANNOUNCE STUDIO SESSION

The Afterglow are currently working on new songs. Management just announced the band will get back in studios between May and August to record a new album. The album should be ready within the end of the year. Further infos in the next months.

"Sorry.", the band's latest album, just reached 20,000 digital downloads from all over the world. "The band are incredibly happy for this huge result, and for the hundreds of appreciation messages they received for the album during last year, and wish to thank everybody once again for their love and support" a spokesman said.

"Before the Afternoon", the band's new single, is now airplayed on three more major european radios, BBC6 (UK), XFm Radio (UK) and Virgin Radio (Italy).

MASTERING SESSIONS

The Afterglow will be mastering their forthcoming studio Lp, due to be out in early 2011, at Nautilus Mastering Studios - Milan - within next week. Antonio Baglio is the selected mastering Engineer.

MIXING SESSIONS

The Afterglow are currently mixing their forthcoming studio Lp, due to be out in spring 2011. Mixing sessions will last about 12 days.

MIK LEAVES THE BAND
